My name is Matthew Kofi Ocran. I was born in Ghana. I work at the University of the Western Cape (UWC) in Cape Town, South Africa. I am a professor of economics and a deputy dean for academic planning and assessment at the Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences. I serve on university committees that deal with academic planning, assessment, and quality assurance. I also teach macroeconomics and international finance at the Department of Economics. I love cycling and wish I had more time to practice on the piano.
